Liability Insurance Renewals

For all those covered through the Law Society, invoices for your 2009/10 Liability Insurance levy have been mailed.  Fees for your first installment are due by June 18, 2009.  If you have any questions regarding your Liability coverage and renewal fees, please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Online CLE:
Purchasing from a Receiver

CBA National will be hosting a presentation on what you need to know about purchasing from a receiver on Thursday, May 21 at 9:00 am (MT). Co-Presented by the CBA National Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Restructuring Law, Business Law and Real Property Law Sections, this special online CLE is designed to provide, in three segments, essential information on purchasing from a receiver:

  • Appointment of a Receiver
  • Sale Approval and Vesting Order:  Conveying Personal Property (Assuming a Court Appointment)
  • Sale Approval and Vesting Order:  Conveying Real Property (Assuming a Court Appointment)

Law Foundation Appointees

The term of the current appointees to the NWT Law Foundation expires on June 30, 2009.  Members interested in serving on the Board of the Foundation are asked to provide their expressions of interest no later than May 30, 2009.


CLE/CPD Committee Meeting
